Heka is a blue giant star in the constellation Orion. At 1,165 light years away, it is the 253rd brightest star in the Earth's sky, where it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 3.39. Heka is a multiple-star system. It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 30.7 km/s relative to the Sun and is part of the Orion Molecular Cloud and Collinder 69 moving groups. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 24,900 and 31,100 light years from the center of the Galaxy.
