Mufrid is a yellow subgiant star in the constellation Boötes. At 37 light years away, it is the 110th brightest star in the Earth's sky, where it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 2.68. Mufrid is the primary component of a multiple-star system. The star's age is estimated to be 1.9 billion years but is certainly no less than 1.8 billion years and no greater than 2 billion years. The iron abundance of Mufrid is +0.25 (177.8% of the Sun). It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 19.5 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 21,200 and 26,500 light years from the center of the Galaxy.
