22 Orionis is a blue main-sequence star in the constellation Orion. At 1,131 light years away, it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 4.72. The iron abundance of 22 Orionis is -0.31 (49.0% of the Sun). It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 28.2 km/s relative to the Sun and is part of the Orion Molecular Cloud and Collinder 70 moving groups. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 24,900 and 32,300 light years from the center of the Galaxy.
