11 Orionis is a blue subgiant star in the constellation Orion. At 365 light years away, it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 4.65. It an intrinsic variable star that varies between magntitudes 4.64 and 4.67 over a period of 4.64 days. It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 25.4 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 22,400 and 24,500 light years from the center of the Galaxy. It came closest to the Sun 2.8 million years ago when it had brightened to magnitude 4.03 from a distance of 274 light years.
