52 Sagittarii is a blue main-sequence star in the constellation Sagittarius. At 190 light years away, it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 4.59. 52 Sagittarii is a multiple-star system. It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 27.4 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 23,600 and 28,900 light years from the center of the Galaxy. It will come closest to the Sun 1.4 million years from now when it will brighten to magnitude 3.88 from a distance of 136 light years.
