HD 181327 is a white main-sequence star in the constellation Telescopium. At 169 light years away, it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 7.04. The star's age is estimated to be 1.4 billion years but is certainly no less than 700 million years and no greater than 2 billion years. The iron abundance of HD 181327 is +0.04 (109.6% of the Sun). It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 20.9 km/s relative to the Sun and is part of the Beta Pictoris moving group. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 22,600 and 24,200 light years from the center of the Galaxy. HD 181327 has no confirmed planets known to date (July 2013), but does have a circumstellar debris disk.
