Gliese 205 is a red dwarf star in the constellation Orion. At 18.5 light years away, it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 7.97. Gliese 205 is the primary component of a multiple-star system. The iron abundance of Gliese 205 is +0.22 (166.0% of the Sun). It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 60.4 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 11,400 and 25,100 light years from the center of the Galaxy.
