63 Ceti is an orange giant star in the constellation Cetus. At 387 light years away, it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 5.94. The iron abundance of 63 Ceti is -0.09 (81.3% of the Sun). It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 37.2 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 24,100 and 31,400 light years from the center of the Galaxy. It came closest to the Sun 2.7 million years ago when it had brightened to magnitude 4.55 from a distance of 204 light years.
