Albireo A is an orange bright giant star in the constellation Cygnus. At 433 light years away, it is the 185th brightest star in the Earth's sky, where it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 3.05. Albireo A is a component of a multiple-star system. The iron abundance of Albireo A is -0.08 (83.2% of the Sun). It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 24.1 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 20,600 and 23,900 light years from the center of the Galaxy. It will come closest to the Sun 5.4 million years from now when it will brighten to magnitude -3.30 from a distance of 23.2 light years.
