Gliese 675 (HIP 85235)

Gliese 675 is an orange main-sequence star in the constellation Draco. At 42 light years away, it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 6.44. The star's age is unknown but is certainly no greater than 7.2 billion years. The iron abundance of Gliese 675 is -0.41 (38.9% of the Sun). It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 50.5 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 12,700 and 24,300 light years from the center of the Galaxy. It will come closest to the Sun 191,000 years from now when it will brighten to magnitude 5.46 from a distance of 27 light years.
