54 Piscium is an orange main-sequence star in the constellation Pisces. At 36 light years away, it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 5.88. 54 Piscium is the primary component of a multiple-star system. The star's age is estimated to be 15.9 billion years but is certainly no less than 6.1 billion years. The iron abundance of 54 Piscium is +0.15 (141.3% of the Sun). It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 45.5 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 18,500 and 31,000 light years from the center of the Galaxy. It will come closest to the Sun 174,000 years from now when it will brighten to magnitude 5.05 from a distance of 24.6 light years. 54 Piscium has one confirmed planet know to date (early 2012).
