Gliese 809 is a red dwarf star in the constellation Cepheus. At 23.0 light years away, it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 8.55. Gliese 809 is the primary component of a multiple-star system. The iron abundance of Gliese 809 is -0.11 (77.6% of the Sun). It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 31.1 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 21,300 and 30,600 light years from the center of the Galaxy.
